Vegas

Sometime in January we went on a vacation to Sin City. We had a blast and for the most part stayed out of trouble. Our highlights include buffets, nightclubs, slots, aquariums and many other fun events! We started this trip out with everyone picking 3 things they wanted to do while we were there. We accomplished most of those things and everyone had a great time, all the time.
Here are a few pictures to show you what we visited and experienced.

This was the Luxor. We stayed across from in in the Excalibur. We hadn't planned on such a great view for the price we paid on the room!

This photo was taken within The Flamingo's wildlife exhibit which displayed lots of fish, ducks, and real life one-leg-standing flamingos.

It's a shame E wasn't on this trip with us, because he totally would have made me take a picture of him and Master Chief. I never realized how friendly he is. Usually he is maiming brutes and being awesome in his stone silence... I wasn't a big enough nerd to get my photo with him.

This was one of the many water attractions that just doesn't appeal during January nights. We must come back in the summer and slide through the fishes!

From what I had seen the whole time I was in Vegas, this is a very rare sight... Empty bar.

This "wine cellar" is one of the more trendy-er-est that I've seen.

We can be little pharaohs too.

A nice shot of the Aria. One of the newer casinos in the downtown area.

The ceiling entrance to the Bellagio was all crafted glass that looked like flowers. Pretty neat.

This is a taste of some of the prices we were looking at in Gold's (not the gym) a nightclub associated with Cirque du Soleil. It's not cheap typically, but it was for us! Yes, those prices are missing decimals for a reason; they don't accept mere change. Yes, some of those bottles are worth more than my car.

We are happy that free drinks are even possible in a swanky place such as this!

Everyone all together... Ready? "I whip my hair back and worth I whip my hair back and forth I whip my hair back and forth..." Yeah that's enough of that.

We walked to the Rio one of the night from the strip which is a much longer walk than we figured. But the buffet was worth it!

As cliche as it is, the Bellagio fountains are awesome. Plus how often do you get to hear that cool beef commercial song? Hardly every right? Well, listening to it and watching water shoot around is even cooler!

There were a lot of things we couldn't fit in on this trip, which is why we will definitely revisit and knock some more things off the "Vegas List". Hopefully some of those things will include... Hoover, rides on the Stratosphere, more buffets, a Cirque show, and possibly try to steal Mike Tyson's tiger.

  1. "the Bellagio fountains are awesome" - I stared at the fountain for an hour! Seriously.

Sounds like a great trip had by all.
